To follow this tutorial you will need:
JASC Paint Shop Pro 8 - HERE
JASC Animation Shop - HERE
EyeCandy 4000 plugin - HERE
DSB Flux Bright Noise Plugin - HERE
A font of your choice - Im using FontDiner Luvable

You can get the zipfile containing my Font and tube HERE

Open a new image 400x400 with a transparent background, and open the tube you are going to use in PSP.

Copy and paste the tube you are using into your blank canvas and resize if necessary. If you are using the tube I've provided you will need to resize by 75%.

Your canvas should now look like this.

Give your tube the following dropshadow.

Take your pen tool and with the foreground colour set to black draw a line just under the very bottom of the tube like shown below.

Convert the pen line to a raster layer, then duplicate it twice more so you have 3 copies of it. X out the top 2 duplicated layers.

Go to effects, Plugins, EyeCandy 4000 and select the Fire plugin. Using the default settings, but clicking the random seed button, apply the plugin to the line. Repeat for the remaining 2 duplicated layers MAKING SURE you click the random seed button again for each layer.

Your image should now look like this.

Select Black as your foreground colour, and flood fill the blank raster layer at the very bottom of your canvas, then duplicate this twice so you have 3 layers filled with black. Your layer palette should now look like this.

Go to selections, Select all, then selections, modify, select selection borders. Adjust the settings until you have a nice border around your tube and pen line with the flames on. Make sure that the border covers the bottom of the flame line like shown below.

Highlight the very top layer in your layer palette, and then add a new raster layer. Flood fill the selections with a nice gradient of your choice then go to selections, select none. Duplicate this layer twice more so you have 3 copies of it. Your layer palette should now look like this.

Close off the top 2 duplicated layers of your border, then highlighting the first border layer, go to Effects, Plugins, DSB Flux, Bright Noise.

Using the settings below apply the filter to your border.

Repeat for the remaining 2 layers, but make sure you click the lighter radio button a few times for each layer before applying it.

Find your tube layer and duplicate it twice. Your layer palette should now look like this.

Now its time to add your name. Open your font and minimise it to the task bar, then in your font dropdown select it.

Using a colour of your choice type your name into the text box. Using the little handle, turn your text so it runs sideways and then position on the left hand side of the tag, moving it around until you are satisfied. It should now look something like the example below.

Convert the text layer to a raster layer and then go to Effects, plugins, EyeCandy 4000, and Glass and use the following settings. Dont forget to change the colour in the main box to the colour of your text.

Duplicate your text layer twice more so you have 3 copies of it. Your layer palette should now look like this.

Add your artists copyright information and your watermark on a new layer. Convert to a raster layer and then duplicate this 2 more times. your layer palette should now look like this.

Now its time to start merging layers. X out the copies of the layers leaving just the original layers open. Right click and merge visible.

X out the merged layer and un X the first set of copied layers. Merge these visible, and then repeat for the third set of layers. Your palette should now look like this.

Open up all the layers and save the image as a PSP image. Make sure its compatible with PSP 7 otherwise it wont open.

Open animation shop and open the image you just saved. Highlight the first frame and press ctrl and A. Right click and set the frame properties to 25.

Save as a gif file and you are done.
